The Great Northern Railway Historical Society is pleased to announce that we have purchased Tangent Scale Models remaining stock of HO scale Pullman-Standard PS-2 design 3215 cuft. covered hopper cars painted to represent GN 71505 to 71579, 75 cars built in 1960 to haul grain mill products. The model is painted in the gray scheme that these cars were delivered in and is appropriately stenciled including the ‘Great Northern’ herald. Total PS-2 production exceeded 1,400 cars in various cubic capacities between 1958 and 1962. The four wooden passenger cars, three baggage cars and Outfit car O3175 have all been reduced to $39.95, which is below cost. If you are modeling post WW II time frame, these cars would all be useful as Maintenance of Way cars in red paint on a spur track, or detrucked and set on the ground as buildings for various purposes.  I need to get these cars out of the store, and will do so one way or another, so get them now.
