RS-440 - Skykomish Engine Houses: 1893-1956 Plans for the 104 Foot Standard Frame Roundhouse and Machine Shop

This Reference Sheet discusses the five roundhouses and one engine house built at Skykomish, Washington from 1894 through 1945. The single track engine house of 1945 was originally 150 feet long, lengthened to 170 feet in 1951 and removed in 1956 when all engine facilities were removed from Skykomish. 

This sheet also discusses the office and tool storage room, the acetylene storage and oil shed, the toilet-wash room and shop building, and the 1943 under ground diesel fuel storage tank with above ground pumphouse.
