The prototype for this kit was originally a 12x34 Standard Portable Depot that was heavily modified for use as a Signal Maintenance Shed. The shed was located east of the Skykomish depot and next to the main track. It was a combination parts storage shed, signal maintainer's office, and speeder shed.
