Fergus Falls MN Shim Shed - HO

Fergus Falls Maintenance of Way structures. Taken together these items provide the common working structures needed to support a section gang. See Reference Sheet 329.

The Shim Shed was used to store wooden shims used to correct surface defects in the winter when the ties were frozen into the ballast, and thus very difficult to tamp up.
