Skykomish Sand House

Found throughout the GN system sand houses were used to receive and dry engine sand. This structure is modeled after the sand house at Skykomish, WA, which was built in 1926.

Tip: available separately from Diamond Scale Products is a GN prototype sand tower kit that would go nicely with our GN sand house. The Diamond Scale sand tower is modeled after the one found in Hillyard, WA and is similar to ones used in Skykomish, Interbay and elsewhere.
