These 30 cars were bulkhead flat cars with 48’ 6” inside length built by General Steel Industries in 1966 for aluminum ingot service. They were equipped with 10” FreightMaster end of car cushion devices. Reflecting their aluminum ingot service, they were equipped with 12 Brandon chain tie downs per side and were equipped with side pockets to store the chains when not in use. Your decal set includes reminders to stow the chains in the pockets.
Capacity was 180,000 pounds.
Body color was glacier green.
