Last week I had three comments that lead me to think that some of you may not know how the store works, or may be intimidated by it. Fear not, you can not break the store. Feel free to poke around in it!
The best way to find an item is to go to the catalog tab, and then select the collection that the item is in. Art is in 'Art and Specialties' and depots are in 'HO Structures' for example. The collections are intended to be simple and logical, so wrong guesses should be rare and they are not fatal.
Once in a collection, then all items in that collection will display a thumbnail of the item, and the price. There may be more than one page of thumbnails, so be sure to look at them all. You can click on the thumbnail for a larger image and description of the item.
You can also search by key word(s) in the search box at the upper right of the page with the catalog tab. The nice thing about the search function is that you do not need to consider what collection an item is in. The not so nice thing is that a search will often return many more items that what you are really interested in. You can help yourself in this regard by selecting narrow search terms. Again, feel free to play with this feature.
Put the items you want in the shopping cart and check out. You do not need to be a member of the GNRHS, and members do NOT need to use their member number to check out.
